1. Can we use the sound system to listen music loudly in dorm?Can we hold parties in our dormitory rooms? Or can I return to my dormitory at any time at night?

These are not allowed because it may negatively affect other students in the dormitory. The dormitory should remain quiet at all times and the sound system is forbidden. Our school as set up an auto-lock front gate system. It is open from 6:00-23:00. Students can scan their campus student card to enter, the student who go back to the dorm late will get the punishment like the oral warning,written warning and so on according to the regulation in JXUST.

2. If I want to attend the HSK test, where and when do I register?

Test takers can go to the foreign students office to register in February, May and November of each year. You can take the test one month after registering. 

3. Can I do a part-time job?

This is not allowed. In accordance with policy, foreigners who come to China to study are not allowed to work in China without special permission from a Chinese government institution. Otherwise a fine may be given and in more serious cases may be forced to leave China within a certain period of time.

4. If I lost my passport, what shall I do?

Please go to the Ganzhou City Police Bureau for Immigration and Emigration Affairs immediately to report the missing passport. The Police institution will give the owner of the lost passport “proof of lost passport documentation”, which can be used to apply for a new passport at the consulate or embassy in China. After receiving a new passport please to back to the same Police Bureau to reapply for visa or residence permit.

5. If I have been beaten by others off the campus what can I do?

 You can call 110 for the police, and inform your teachers and classmates for help.
